Approach

Lindsay uses a collaborative therapy style in which she works with her clients to determine their goals for therapy from a trauma-informed lens and uses body and mindfulness techniques to help them feel safe exploring themselves and their ability to heal. She works to promote social justice and inclusivity in her practice by using transfeminist and queer theory to support diverse gender and sexuality views. Lindsay is also trained in EMDR, which helps clients with trauma processing.

Best Fit

Lindsay works with clients from a variety of backgrounds across the lifespan, but particularly enjoys working with high-achievers. As an avid cycler and dedicated, neurodivergent parent, they understand the unique challenges of athletes, peripartum parents, and ADHD-ers and the immense pressure often felt to perform at their best.

Lindsay recognizes the effects of diet and wellness culture in these groups as well and enjoys helping these clients repair and improve their relationship with food, movement, and their body.

Experience

Lindsay is working towards a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and holds a Certificate in Trauma Counseling from Antioch University. Lindsay received a Bachelors of Science degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology/Chemistry and Spanish, and worked in academia and computer science while pursuing cycling at the professional level. In addition to counseling, Lindsay coaches athletes and teaches trauma-informed weight-lifting and yoga; they are passionate about helping people heal their relationship with their body and find a movement ritual that leads them to embodiment. In their free time, Lindsay enjoys moving their body outdoors with their family.
